XtremepowerUS 48,000 BTU Premium Floor Standing Propane Outdoor Patio Heater - Bronze Hammered

Love, love, love this heater. I've long wanted a heater like this to use on our outdoor patio, next to our hot tub. The price here on Amazon, currently $119 offered by IDeals, is better than I've found at any of my local stores. Plus, shipping to my front door was fast and free. This is a solid and well made outdoor heater and comes with everything you need, minus the propane tank. It takes a standard 20 pound propane tank, the same kind you would use with your grill.

It arrived with all the parts in a box about 4 feet tall, and weighs less than 20 pounds itself. The instruction manual is well done and written in easy-to-follow English. I say this because I've bought other items where the manuals were clearly written in another language and then poorly translated. The manual that came with this was well thought out, thorough, with great pictures and details. It made assembly much easier.

I like that there are wheels built into the base, so I just put my foot on the bar, pull the unit towards me to till it, and roll it wherever I need. I'm not a large female, but I have no problem moving it even with the 20 lb tank inside.

I shot a video #review because I thought it would be more helpful and informative to others considering this purchase. I HONESTLY LOVE this heater. It's fantastic. Highly recommended #PatioHeater.

Serene House USA - Aromatherapy Diffusers, Oils & Wax Melts

This post is going to focus on Aromatherapy, and my experience with a few products ordered from Serene House USA.

I recently gained an appreciation for quality aromatherapy diffusers and essential oils. In my ventures, I came across an innovative company with offerings across the board: Serene House USA. I ordered three products from their website, (the Vulcan II, Duke & Oval), which

Let's start with a commonly asked question: WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY?

~Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these "essential" oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. (Source: www.aromatherapy.com)~

Because I am not a certified expert in essential oils or aromatherapy, I'll leave you to read about these products and their benefits to make the best decision for you & your family. Suffice it to say, I am a fan.

Additionally, as someone with terrible allergies and asthma, I find myself NOT bothered by QUALITY essential oils. What makes essential oils top quality? When they are responsibly sourced, contain no GMOs, contain no Parabens, and definitely contain no Artificial (manufactured) Fragrances. Serene House USA sells not only quality devices/diffusers, but quality oils. Every oil they sell meets these criterion. 

Serene House has a lot of unique products that were offered to serve multiple purposes for my family. Let's take a second and look at each of the three products I tried below. I'll include a brief description of each, followed by a video review.

The Vulcan II - What is it? An ultrasonic aromatherapy diffuser with the added functions of music playback, serene lighting, and a timer. All of which can be easily controlled via the included remote control. While this has the added benefit of adding some moisture to the air, please be aware it should not considered a humidifier. Because of the moisture it adds to the air, and depending on the inherent humidity of your home, I suggest placing this on a towel for the first night's use to assess how much humidity the device will produce in your home and on your counter top or dresser. This product has the most features of any diffuser I've ever experienced. It has built-in spa music, it can play your own music, it will enhance the ambiance of the room with lighting, and it covers a great amount of space/square footage. The other thing I have to call out is the quality of materials. From the packaging (which is superb), to the product itself, they don't cut any corners. Period. This unit is made of ceramic (essentially the same as porcelain). They components they include are well thought out, and that beautiful frosted top is glass. It's not cheap plastic, it's thick and durable frosted glass!

The Oval - What is it? An electric (no flames!), ceramic wax melt warmer with soft white lighting. This is for use with Serene House's SERENE PODS... which are, AMAZING! I just love this product and think it's brilliant. Watch the video for more details, and then go get one. There is NOTHING else out there that compares. Stunning, functional, safe, and pretty! I want them all!!!

The Duke - What is it? A well-thought-out car scent diffuser. Like all of their products, this comes in multiple colors (black & white.) There are a few things that make this car diffuser unique. I'll start with the application of the oils. Instead of making a mess by dripping oils into a metal plate, you add 4-6 drops of your preferred scent onto the included ceramic disc. The disc acts like a sponge, absorbing the oil. Then you place the disc into the unit's head, which is secured by placing the stainless steel cover. (Side note: have you noticed the quality materials they use in ALL their products - glass, ceramic, stainless steel...?) You plug this into your cigarette adapter, and that's it. It will power on when your car is running (with a warm light to alert you that it's powered on), and each disc will last at least a month with regular use. The last think I want to mention is the thoughtful inclusion of a joint. This can be used straight (pointed at you), though it's designed to use as little space as possible without compromising quality or style. You just bend it upward and off you go. The Oils & Waxes - I would be remiss if I didn't include a comment and a link to their scents. As I mentioned in the first video, ALL of their essential oils are quality oils that are responsibly sourced. Overall, I am very happy with these diffusers AND the oils. In truth, it's very rare you find a company that offers one-stop-shopping for aromatherapy devices and oils. until now I was mixing and matching brands, which is fine, but for convenience and consistency, I prefer being able to only go to www.SereneHouseUSA.com. DreamQi Alarm Clock - Wireless Qi Charging, Bluetooth Speakers, Dual Alarm Clock

In all candor, I REALLY like this alarm clock. I find, surprisingly, it is BETTER at charging my IPhone 6 (withiPhone 6/6s (4.7") Wireless Charging Case Built in Qi Compatible Wireless Charger Slim Back Case with Removable Lightning Connector - Enables wireless charging on your iPhone 6/6s and compatible with any Qi Enabled Dock - Requires Charging Pad) than the Qi charger I have. I find the charging to be faster, more reliable (consistently charges without the need for finicky placement), and like that it does not put out an audible beep when charging like some chargers do. These are all HUGE pluses, since most of us buying this clock are doing so because it combines Bluetooth along with Qi (wireless) charging.

[A NOTE ON IPHONES & WIRELESS CHARGING: Iphones do NOT currently come with the ability to charge wirelessly; however, you CAN charge your Iphone wirelessly IF you purchase a Qi/wireless case like that which I linked above. Other phones, like Samsung models, do have this capability built in. I recommend and use the case linked above because it is slim and has the easy to unplug lightning port for standard charging when needed. Conversely, I am not a fan of the Touch Charge (the makers of my Iphone 6 case) dockTouch Charge Qi Enabled Wireless Charging Pad - Jet BlackSo, for fellow Iphone owners out there, I HIGHLY recommend a quality Qi enabled case, and this clock for charging. Sure, this is a clock, but it's a better charger than the 4 other Qi chargers I've tried before. See my video attached to see this clock in action.]

I also REALLY love the ease and functionality of the dimming feature and the ability to completely dim the light at night – this is one of my biggest complaints with ALL alarm clocks – BRILLIANT! There is a button on the front that kind of reminds me of a space bar on a keyboard. It serves two functions: it will snooze your alarm, OR, it will dim the light. I just LOVE this feature. So it’s a soft white/gray/blue(ish) light to begin with – which is good. But you hit it once and it dims a little. Hit it again and it dims to low. And here is where they REALLY step it up… hit it a third time and it goes OFF without interrupting the functionality! Want to go back to bright, just hit that button again and the cycle starts over!

I want to call out my appreciation that they didn’t overlook the importance of a backup battery (included CR2032). The port/cover on my battery slot is scratched from me, I had some difficulty opening it. I found a butter knife worked best for the size and width of the grooves. I have a few other alarm clocks, and my previous favorite (before I got the DreamQi) did not have a backup battery. It drove me nuts when the power went off. Of course, most of the time you’ll want to charge it with the included AC power adapter located on the back. While looking at the back, I’ll add, this is where you set the time, and where you’ll also find 2 more ports. One is the auxiliary audio cable (which they include), which allows you to play your music without using Bluetooth or hogging battery power from your device. The second is a USB port which can be used to charge another device of your choosing with a 2.1 AMP output.

Looking at, or listening to, the sound, it’s decent for a little alarm clock. There are two speakers (one on each side), each with 3W (for 6 total watts) with build in “bass boost.” The alarm can be set to go off with the built in alarm sounds, or, through your device using Bluetooth (you must have an alarm set up to go off via your phone, and it will play whatever audio/music that alarm goes off to). Speaking of alarms, there are two alarms. Alarm 1 is for one time use (meaning, it doesn’t reset every night). Alarm 2 is for repeated/daily use. You can easily turn the alarms on or off with the top buttons.

For future models, it might be beneficial to consider including a remote control (to change songs, pause, play and adjust volume). I think a remote (for when phone is playing and charging simultaneously) would be a nice addition. It would also be beneficial to incorporate an AM/FM receiver; you cannot listen to radio on his alarm clock. I was fortunate enough to get this as a discount; however, all opinions (good & bad) are my own/unbiased opinions. I ordered this here on Amazon and it arrived in 2 days with Prime shipping. Overall, I’m very happy with this alarm clock. At the time of posting, this is listed on sale at $106.25 (15% off the original price of $125.00). In fact, I’d like to get a second so my husband can have one on his side of the bed – the charger works that well and I don’t like to share. :)

KoolMAX Tunes2Go Bluetooth Speaker Cooler Stereo System: REVIEW

This thing can JAM! When it first arrived, we opened it up in our living room and cranked it up. A few minutes later, I got a text from my neighbors asking if we were having a party! :) They could hear it next door. The makers of this cooler seriously thought of EVERYTHING!

It will charge your devices, play your tunes, inflate your air mattress, open your beer bottle, keep your ice frozen for THREE DAYS, host a karaoke party or jam session, and protect your iPad/phone/laptop from the elements. And best of all, you charge it ahead of time, and you're good to go for 16 hours.

My husband and I had so much fun with this over the weekend. In truth, I was hesitant to buy this at first due to the cost, but we are SO GLAD WE FINALLY DID! It's fantastic - it holds a ton, has a telescoping handle and wheels for easy transport (which is good because it weighs in at 31 pounds, but is manageable with the wheels), AND (best of all) it CRANKS! We actually found it comparable to a BOSE portable sound system we have at home – it’s definitely on par in terms of sound quality. I mention this in my video review, but this is made by a sound system and audio equipment company. It's a legitimate sound system built into a high performance cooler.

We did a video #review in the hopes it would help other consumers out there who were on the fence like we were. We're not affiliated with the company, but love to go camping and tailgating - this is perfect for both. It's your all-in-one cooler so you can take the party with you anywhere. VIDEO REVIEW: Organic Aromas Handmade Essential Oil Diffuser

After a ton of research, I FINALLY ordered this diffuser. It's the most effective type of diffuser (nebulizer) available on the market. Also, this is beautifully made - 100% hand made on a wooden lathe, and the glass is beautifully & meticulously blown by a craftsman. They included everything I need to get started, and I am SO IN LOVE. My husband, (seriously!), loves this. He even helped me  to make a video - I had commented there weren't video reviews which would have helped me make my decision when I first saw this months ago... he said, "let's make one!"

PS: I made a mindless mistake in the video #review... at one point I said the "metal parts" and I meant the GLASS parts. No idea why I said metal, it's clearly glass. However, I wanted to clarify so nobody was confused. You really have to see this up close to really appreciate the inner tubing/glass work. Incredible. :)

The Vaportini - New Way to Consume Alcohol (Video Review)

This is my video review of how to use the Vaportini, what's included, and what to expect. Since I cover everything in the video, there's not much I'll write here...

I actually purchased mine through Vaportini's website, but am sharing the review here as well as on YouTube. I agree with some users that I don't feel the same effects as when I drink alcohol, but my breathalyzer shows I'm consuming alcohol. It's really a fun toy to have, everyone wants to try it out and learn what it is. It's a fun gadget for any bar, and is highly recommended as a gift. Please note, I am not in any way affiliated with the company, and am just an average consumer sharing my opinions. I do recommend this product!

COMPARATIVE VIDEO REVIEW: The Unbreakable Umbrella to The Indestructible Umbrella

For background, I am a female professional, who often travels alone for business. I needed an umbrella to take on trips for rain and self-protection. I needed an umbrella that was professional looking, was able to be carried onto an airplane, one that was reliable and would last forever (I'm tired of my cheap ones breaking!), and needed one that could serve the dual purposes of these umbrellas. As such, this review is to compare between the Indestructible and the original Unbreakable Umbrella.

I have included a brief video review to supplement this written review. Sorry - there will be NO video of me standing on them, (this process on both umbrellas was VERY clumsy and risky), as they each took a few tries, quick shots, and required a great deal of balance (which I don't have an abundance of!) These weren't the safest of things you can do with the umbrella, so I don't recommend it for most people.

Also to note, while it is required to stand with feet slightly separated to maintain balance, you might notice my feet are a tiny bit further apart on the Indestructible Umbrella (dress photo). That umbrella solely has a fiberglass shaft which did not have the same rigidity and strength as the Unbreakable Umbrella. I've had two knee surgeries and want to avoid a third in case I lose my balance! Still, I hope the photos make the point - you COULD stand on both of these! I didn't want to hurt myself, but feel there was a much greater chance of falling (balance aside) and breaking the indestructible umbrella if I wasn't careful to distribute my weight. I am 5' 7", 140 lbs for reference.

For this test, the Unbreakable umbrella felt more solid and stronger, while the Indestructible had a lot more flex. The materials on the Unbreakable just felt sturdier overall without added bulk or weight! Lastly (relative to the photos), forgive the odd stance with knees bent. This was necessary to maintain balance and to be safe in case I fell from the tall (pub height) chairs.

Overall, they're both great umbrellas, but for the reasons mentioned below and in the video, I prefer The Unbreakable Umbrella with "crooked" handle (model U-115).

THE INDESTRUCTIBLE UMBRELLA  (Photo with me in the dress is the indestructible umbrella - it was less sturdy and bent more, but it held my weight just as well - I fell a few times, action/post fall photo included, but thankfully I survived along with the umbrella)

Overall, both are great products. BUT, I do prefer the "Unbreakable" over the "Indestructible." They are similar, but different umbrellas by different companies. Here's why:

1. The tips: the indestructible's tip looks more intimidating, but it's not as practical as the unbreakable's. be honest, you won't be poking or stabbing a would-be-mugger. So the tip only functions for balance the unbreakable tip offers girth for better balance, weight distribution and ease of walking. Plus, while both are safe for travel and supposedly allowed on planes, I think you're more likely (if at all) to be questioned about the pointy tipped indestructible.
2. The handle: I prefer the unique shape of the unbreakable by far. At first, I was slightly annoyed wondering why it was so big. But, I then realized it serves two functions. First, it works better for balance and weight distribution as a walking stick. Secondly, it allows for hands-free. You can seriously hook this on any forearm, or any shoulder. This worked on my larger husband; the smaller hooked end of the indestructible couldn't fit on his forearm, forget his shoulder!
3. The mechanics: The unbreakable umbrella's button is both better looking (blends in, looks clean) and was slightly more powerful and responsive.
4. The information provided and transparency: The indestructible listing has less info, and I feel they slightly misrepresented info (i.e. weight). The unbreakable umbrella company has a great listing and an even better website with videos.

I am in no way affiliated with either The Unbreakable Umbrella, or the Indestructible Umbrella. I am just an average consumer, who bought one of each for comparison. I've decided to keep both - I've given the Indestructible Umbrella to my husband as a golf umbrella, and I am taking the Unbreakable Umbrella on business trips for rain- and crazy-people-protection.

I have had this a few weeks now and have used it a number of times - on the dash of my car while parked (it will charge through the  glass, it's just slower than if it were in direct sunlight). I've used it in the backyard and at the beach. BUT, the true test was on a week-long trip camping. This is the coolest meat thermometer I've ever tried! I won't say much here because the video says it all.

It's instant, but also small, unique and compact. Best of all - it's truly WIRELESS, AND, you can cook the meat with it in over, grill, broiler, etc. No need for an app, it blinks a specific color for each temperature your meat reaches. Made of high quality stainless steel and can be used approx. 1,000-2,000 times when handled properly.

It was initially created for use with steaks, and the color indicators are for the wellness of steaks, BUT it can be used for ANY protein. Tip: For proteins that are not steak (duck, veal, fish, chicken, lamb, etc.), cook it until it reads Medium/Yellow.
About the active signals (about every 8 sec.):

Metro Cuff (NYC) by Design Hype

This is an incredible buy and a unique piece of jewelry. Great for yourself, or a gift. I found mine on www.designhype.com, and opted for the shiny embossed NYC cuff. I kept mine for myself, but might return to buy more as gifts! I was so jazzed about this I had to post a review. Definitely a company to check out!

I have this in the Shiny Embossed (means shiny silver finsih, engraved but no black filling in the engraved lines). I am SO in love with it. It's absolutely adorable. While I'm keeping mine for myself, I think this makes the absolute perfect gift for any city-gal in your life! Adorable! They have many different cities and finsihes on their site. I need to go back and get the Chicago one next! This is the perfect gift for any travel lover.

The Squatty Potty - Bamboo Version (Video Review)

Ever since I first heard of the Squatty Potty (admittedly, this was first on Howard Stern radio), I was curious. And while Howard Stern may be a lot of things, he is a health nut! My husband and I giggled, but never bit the bullet (or should I say Squatted!?!).

Well, at first I just couldn't justify it because I thought the original Squatty Potty was just too hideous. Finally, I came across the really nice Bamboo version. I've had it for a few weeks now and hubby and I have both used it. First, my hubby has IBS (so he goes, a lot...). Me on the other hand, I'm lucky if I go every few days. No matter how much water I drink or fruit I consume, it's the same. So we each hoped this would help our 'routines.'

I don't honestly think this think is a miracle worker and it won't suddenly whip your bowels into tip top shape, but it will help with elimination. We both agreed it didn't make you go unless you had to go (which saddened me a bit, albeit it was an unreasonable expectation). However, it did make 'to go' a little easier. Also, clean up (ahem) was also much easier. So maybe it's eco-friendly in more ways than one (bamboo + less paper needed!).

The looks of this are quite nice. It blends in well without looking like something that belongs in a hospital. It tucks under the toilet well so you can sit (or stand for guys) without it being in your way. Pull it out when you need it. I mention this in the video, but when assembling it, do NOT tighten all the bolts UNTIL you're finished. You will likely need to put torque at some points while tightening to make sure it doesn't wobble. Overall, I'm very happy with this!

EquiptBaby Diaper Bag & Folding Bassinet

I have to say, this is a really unique concept for a baby bag and I love the compact portability of the bassinet. What mom doesn't need easy options to free her hands up, but a way to do so with just one hand?!?

I've tried to touch on the various aspects of this bag in my video review, but in short, it's really well thought out. The bucket bottom is hard to keep wet messes in or out, and will prevent the corners ripping like fabric ones do. It also has a feature that allows you to really see what's int he bag (it opens wide) - so no more feeling around for that paci!

I love the magnetic closures on the pockets, and think it's adorable. The colors make it gender neutral, which I like. The bassinet is an awesome idea. I've never seen something like this that folds up like this one does. However, I'm only giving this four stars out of 5 because it's extremely difficult to fold the bassinet back up! There is a video on their YouTube page (better than he one I saw on their site), that really helps. The link for that particular video is here.

You have to have the Velcro on your left thumb, and you fold the right side in and TWIST towards you. Then you have to put the end of the bassinet towards your body to get it to accordion closed. You MUST practice this when you're not in a hurry and when you have free hands. I"ll also note, the folding of the bassinet requires 2 hands. I'd like the closing of the bassinet to be much easier, but I am honestly very happy with this set. It's well made, soft and durable, very functional (very well thought out), and I love the idea of the portable bassinet. Highly recommended and a product I'm happy to #review!

Review: RAVPower 3-Coils Wireless Charging Pad Stand (Wireless charger for Iphone 6)

If you have an Iphone 6, you can make use this with a Qi enabled case on Amazon. I purchased this one on Amazon.

UPDATE: I contacted RavPower via email and cannot tell you how impressed I am with their service. They informed me my unit appeared to be dysfunctional. I was told it should not stop and restart charging like it was. They simply asked for my order info and a description of what was happening. They were EXTREMELY responsive to all my questions and emails (and there were many). Within one or two days, they replied sending me a brand new one free of charge. What excellent care & quality!

The product is SURPRISINGLY FAST! It seems to charge quicker than my Iphone Cable did. I love that I can use it to lie flat, or propped up so I can still use and see it. It's very versatile, and I'm pleased at it's universal application. It is also not sensitive to where I place my phone - it's one of the few that is not finicky and doesn't require precise placement. It works every time. I WILL buy other RavPower products. Highly recommended!

Works awesome, oddly, UNTIL my Iphone 6 gets to 100%.

I’m using this with my IPhone 6 which is outfitted with a Qi case, as the IPhone 6 does not have Qi/wireless capability.

I’m pleased to see this worked to quickly charge my IPhone. The problem I have is when it gets to 100%. When it gets to 100%, it stops charging, but within 30 secs as it begins to minutely discharge, it STARTS charging again. Every other pad I’ve used seems to continue charging, rather than ceasing at 100%. The problem is, this means every 30 seconds as it reinitiates charging, it beeps or vibrates – this is VERY annoying. And problematic overnight

ESPEROS Classic Backpack (Charity, Quality & Functionality!)

This is a video review of Esperos Bags' Classic Backpack, in navy.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this backpack. Usually, backpacks are just hideous and look overly utilitarian, childish, or are not functional. This one is perfect! Please make sure to see my video review attached, but I'll also share some comments here.

First, the bag itself: This backpack (I ordered it in navy), is made of high quality materials - it's made to last. The back itself weighs in just over 10 oz. (which is great considering the heft and quality of the materials. The bag is made of "Military Duck Canvas." What is Military Duck Canvas. What is Military Duck Canvas I wondered... it's a high quality, dense and long-lasting cotton canvas that is naturally water and stain repellent. This is great for me because I either buy a 'water repellent bag,' which looks shiny and ugly, or, I spray the cotton bags with camping waterproof spray (for boots, tents, etc.)

With this bag, you don't have to do any of that! The plastic hardware (buckles and strap hardware) seems really solid - specifically, it doesn't seem like most hardware that eventually fades, cracks, and becomes brittle. The inside has really nice looking (not too girly or manly, gender neutral) cotton lining with a light blue oxford stripe. My bag measured around the advertised 16" x 12" x 6". There is a really large zippered pocket inside (about 12x8.5") for your extras. There's also a nicely padded laptop compartment that even afforded room for my husband's humongous Toshiba laptop. Lastly, there's a tiny pocket sort of hidden on the front flap (outside), and a nice drawstring closer to keep everything extra secure. This bag really is roomy and well thought out.

Second, the company: you can read about them on their website, but in sort, this company has a charitable mission. The proceeds for every bag purchased goes to fund one year of a child's education in Central America. We take this for granted in the US, but it's definitely not something afforded to kids everywhere. So, you think of kids and schools, you immediately think of backpacks and supplies. They also have other bags though... they are all really nice. I only have the backpack so I'll only speak to it. Just know, you're paying for quality materials, from a company that stands by their product, and your purchase is supporting a child's future. Win-win-win!

Lastly, I want to touch on the practicality of this bag. It's very roomy without being bulky or ugly. Also, while it's advertised as a Men's Backpack, I truly think it's gender neutral. I am a female, and will not think twice about proudly wearing this bag. I think it's adorable! It works for travel, work, commuting, for men, for women, and I even think it'd be a great diaper bag. In fact, this would be an especially awesome men's diaper/baby bag. The options are endless. Go Flyt Solo Stand - Functional Design for the Bathroom (Video Review)

I got two of these on Amazon and love them! They are really well made and well worth the purchase price. At $25 each, I know they're not inexpensive, but they will last me forever. Plus, they look WAY better than the ugly glasses/cups I'd been holding my toothbrush in. While I didn't think about it before the purchase, this is MUCH more sanitary than using glasses/cups, OR leaving it flat on the counter.

I also like it for travel - I always get freaked out about where I put my toothbrush when I travel (I don't trust the sanitation in hotel rooms...). Check out my video review for more, but overall, I highly recommended this. Definitely a great and lasting buy!

KeySocks: Finally! Socks for High Heels (Video Review)

Finally, I have found the ONLY socks that actually work with high heels! I hate not wearing socks because my feet sweet (yuck) and slide. Plus, my toes seem to rub and get sore around the "knuckles" (or whatever the joints are called on toes!

I've tried the toe/half socks, those "no show socks", and everything in between. They either show and look horrible, or, just fall off in the shoe. These are perfect for what I need. They are meant to be worn with pants and high heels - perfect! Check out the video review for more insights, but in short, I highly recommend them!
